IaaS
Problem
You want cloud infrastructure but still need control over the operating system, networking and installed software.
Solution — Infrastructure as a Service
The provider manages physical infrastructure and virtualization; you manage the VM and software above it.
You: OS + applications
Provider: hardware + virtualization
Core idea: IaaS gives you virtual infrastructure while the provider operates the physical layer.
