Problem
An LLM can tell you:
“You should create a support ticket.”
But generating text doesn't actually create anything.
Solution — Tool Calling
Give the model controlled actions it can request.
LLM ↓ create_ticket(...) ↓ Ticket system
The surrounding application executes the permitted operation.
Core idea: tool calling connects model reasoning to external capabilities.
